The first charging session
Plug in once the crew has handed over. The unit will run a one-time self-test for about 90 seconds — the LED cycles white, then settles to a steady green when ready. Your first session can be at any rate up to the unit's maximum; we recommend letting it complete a full cycle the first time so the battery management system on the car gets a clean reference reading.
Switching to the SE EV tariff
After install, we file the as-built paperwork with Saudi Energy so the charger record can be completed against your meter. You do not need to call them for our paperwork step — we handle it from our side and keep the request status updated.
When your next SE bill arrives, check that the charger-related line items match the service status shown in your Saudi Energy account. If anything looks missing or wrong, send us a screenshot via WhatsApp and we will help you trace whether the issue is paperwork, meter status, or billing timing.
Setting up the IMDAD app
The app is on the App Store and Google Play. Pair the unit by scanning the QR code on the side panel. The features people actually use:
- Schedule charging: a single toggle that confines charging to the hours you choose.
- Set a session limit: useful for guests or shared family use ("only the next 30 kWh").
- Monthly report: how much energy you drew, how much you saved versus the petrol equivalent.
The app is optional. The charger works perfectly fine as a plug-and-charge unit if you prefer no app.
The first week — small things to check
- The unit should sit at exactly the same wall temperature as the surrounding wall when idle. If you place your hand on it after the first overnight charge and it is warm to the touch, that is normal — but it should never be hot. Warm is fine; hot is a call.
- The LED should never blink red. Steady green = ready. Slow blue = charging. Anything else, snap a photo and message us.
- The first SE bill is the moment of truth on the paperwork and meter status. If the charger-related details do not match your Saudi Energy account, send us the bill screenshot so we can help investigate.
When to book a service
Routine service is once a year — usually a 20-minute cable-and-torque check at no cost during the warranty window. We message you when you are due.
